DOORNITE partners with Living Forum: Steel Design systems bridge history with modern demands
The DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague hosted the prestigious Living Forum architectural conference, where DOORNITE s.r.o. made its debut as a partner. The day-long congress featured a series of inspiring lectures on interior design and culminated in the announcement of the Interior of the Year national competition results.
Alex de Ruiter, owner of Steel Design, presented on behalf of our company. Using the specific example of the renovation of the Mokka-Milch-Eisbar café in Berlin, he demonstrated the architectural and technical possibilities of the Steel Design product range. Through this unique project, he showed exactly how authentic 1960s design can be successfully combined with today’s high demands for thermal insulation, acoustics, and the overall functionality of steel doors and partitions.
Expert discussions throughout the congress confirmed that there is extraordinary interest among architects and investors in steel interior elements from the Steel Design range. These structures transform interiors into modern spaces and effectively respond to the needs of a field that demands subtle lines without compromising on technical properties. The forum’s program was further enriched by other significant international projects, such as “Atoms in the Vineyard” by architect Luis Rebelo de Andrade or a lecture by architect Teresa Sapey on the influence of colors in architecture.
The conclusion of the entire congress was dedicated to the Interior of the Year awards ceremony.
